NDIS DIETITIAN

We have over five years of experience in providing NDIS Dietitian and NDIS meal planning support.

As Dietitians who specialise in working with people with disabilities, we understand that there may be additional challenges to managing a healthy diet, such as difficulties with swallowing or chewing, or needing to follow a special diet due to a medical condition such as Diabetes, Coeliac Disease or chronic constipation. We will work with you to develop a meal plan that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences, and provide you with practical tips and advice to help you achieve your health goals.

How we can help

If you are an NDIS participant with a disability, our Dietitians can assist you by providing support and guidance on meal planning, nutrition, healthy eating habits and lifestyle behaviours. We can also help you manage any specific dietary needs or restrictions you may have due to your disability, such as improving your energy levels, improving your bowel habits, enhancing your mobility through weight loss and muscle building strategies, developing a texture modified diet plan for dysphagia, improving your mental health and mood through dietary changes, and improving your well-being through optimal food choices.

As an NDIS participant, you have choice and control over your goals and how you receive the support you need to achieve them. You can choose to use funding from your NDIS plan to access dietetic and nutrition support to help you achieve your goals. Dietetic support will improve your functional capacity by helping you to build your capacity in self-care, self-management, learning, social interaction and/or mobility.

We support NDIS participants in their homes, at SIL accommodation, or within our clinic. As evidence-based holistic practitioners, we consider all aspects of a person and work closely with their support team to provide optimal care at an Individual level.

Accessing NDIS Dietitian and NDIS meal planning support

You can currently access funding for an NDIS Dietitian or NDIS meal preparation service under the following support categories:

  • Capacity Building: Improved health and wellbeing

  • Capacity Building: Improved daily living

  • Core Support: Assistance with daily life

The nature of dietitian support provided will vary depending on your needs. It may involve one-off assessments, regular ongoing support, or yearly reviews. This plan will also address your communication, social interaction, self-care, self-management and mobility.

We consider your individual goals, abilities, budget, preferences and lifestyle, catering to any cognitive, physical, sensory, neurological, and intellectual needs.
